Åsa Hansson, Associate Professor of Economics at Lund University, was appointed as the lead investigator for the Committee for a Future with Children. She leads the work in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, where a dedicated secretariat has been established to support the committee’s work.
Throughout its mandate, the committee will publish a series of reports highlighting different aspects of Sweden’s declining birth rate and its implications. The aim of the publication series is to disseminate knowledge, promote public education, inspire engagement, and contribute to a broader societal dialogue.
